Bridges for Brain Injury

Bridges For Brain Injury is a nonprofit organization based in Farmington, New York, dedicated to helping individuals with traumatic brain injuries, disabilities, and older adults live meaningful, independent lives within their communities. Through a person-centered approach, Bridges provides home and community-based services focused on building confidence, increasing independence, reducing isolation, improving overall quality of life, and helping individuals avoid unnecessary nursing home or institutional placement.

Our programs emphasize real-world engagement and meaningful daily activities that promote socialization, wellness, cognitive stimulation, and community connection. In addition to traditional support services, Bridges is known for its innovative Wildlife Rockstars program, where participants help care for animal ambassadors and engage in wildlife and conservation education throughout the community.

As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding to a 25-acre farm property in Farmington that will allow us to further integrate nature, agriculture, wellness, and community-based activities into our programming. Our vision is to create inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, including seniors, to stay active, connected, engaged, and supported in living safely and independently within their homes and communities.
